Seaforth Public School is proud of its many wonderful programs operating in this Key Learning Area. Activities both in the classroom and on an extra-curricular basis have traditionally strengthened the K – 6 culture within the school.
Regular visual arts lessons are provided for all students. The school is well equipped with both teacher resources and student supplies. Classroom and foyer displays provide an excellent example of the varied and quality work produced by students. In 2004 the Yatama Senior Campus boasts its own art room, where classes participate in weekly lessons.
All students participate in a range of classroom music activities throughout the year. Quality school programs have been developed in this area. Visiting performances by professional musicians contribute to the breadth of musical experiences provided. Class work in drama and dance often culminates in performances at school assemblies or other special occasions.
Exciting school concerts are a highlight of the performing arts program. A Term 4 pantomime will feature all K - 1 children, while all Years 2 – 6 students will be involved in a major production at the end of Term 3.
Extensive opportunities are available for interested students in band, dance and choir. This information is found under “Unique Features - Special Programs”
