Seaforth Public School has developed a wonderful choir program across the school. Many opportunities exist for involvement of interested students in the extra-curricular groups.
This group is provided for interested children from Years 2 and 3. As well as developing singing skills, emphasis is on participation and enjoyment. Performances during the year include the school assemblies and concerts, Grandparents Day, Christmas Service, as well as an end of year excursion to Manly Meals on Wheels and a nursing home. Practices are held after school each Thursday at 3.30pm.
Interested children from Years 4 – 6 may join this group. It is the major performance choir, maintaining a high profile within the school. Performances during 2008 will include ANZAC Day Ceremony, Grandparents Day, Term 3 school concert and Presentation Night. This year Senior Singers has 40 members and has a brilliant sound. Practices are held Wednesday at 8.10 am. In addition the singers will be auditioning for the Opera House and Sydney Town Hall concerts. Ms Annette Houghton is the choir conductor.
